STUDENT ACHEIVEMENTS:
Emily-Rose Lochore and her poem, ‘Democracy on the Swan’, has been selected as one of the three state finalists in the Parliament of Western Australia’s Parliamentary Poetry Prize, ‘Democracy in WA’. To acknowledge her contribution to civics and citizenship, Emily-Rose will attend a parliamentary reception at Parliament House.
The event is scheduled for 11.00am to 1.00pm on Friday 2nd November 2018 and includes an announcement of the overall state winner and presentation of the trophy, by the competition judge, Dr Harry Phillips. Prior to meeting Hon Kate Doust, the President of the Legislative Council and Hon Peter Watson, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the state finalists and their guests will have a personal tour of Parliament House, followed by a luncheon in the Centenary Room.

Indigo Bew and Megan McDougall were selected to travel to Vietnam with the 2018 Premier’s ANZAC student tour

UNSW GLOBAL ICAS SCIENCE 2018
47 students participated in this program across Years 7-10. 2 students were awarded High Distinction, 5 Distinctions, 13 credits, 7 Merits and 20 Participation certificates.

GT ONLINE HAS DONE IT ONCE AGAIN
- We had two girls this year who were selected in the final round and travelled to Vietnam.

KATHERINE WHITEHEAD FROM YEAR 7, PLAYS ALEXA
Katherine Whitehead from Year 7 is playing the lead role in a Port Hedland musical. There are 120 students in the cast of Melted – a Musical and Katharine plays Alexa. This is a rewriting of Frozen and it original story The Snow Queen, for a hot northern desert, much like the north of WA.
