Please complete the below form to choose your preferences for the Future Pathways and Game Sessions in our Virtual Camp.

Name(Required)
Future Pathways Guest Speakers

1. Murdoch University : Designing Your Future
Learn to envision, shape and prepare for future changes in society and industry. Explore the techniques used to help predict and plan for the future and then apply this to your own journey. Global Challenges brings together future forecasting, entrepreneurship and innovation, politics, history, philosophy, economics, sustainability, design and IT to study societal problems and future trends.

2. Murdoch University: Career Capers in Chemistry
In this talk, Caitlin will share her journey from growing up in country Western Australia to moving to the city to study at university and discovering her passion for chemistry. This is an honest talk about the struggles of studying in Year 11 and 12 and moving out of home and to a new city to study. Caitlin will also discuss how she discovered her love of chemistry by accident and how that has led her in a career direction she never expected. There will be an opportunity at the end for students to ask questions about her experience.

3. Don’t Panic! Follow your passion and be open to opportunity
Listen and reflect on a personal journey from Phil Young, a Perth Modern School Teacher who is widely travelled, highly qualified and worked in a variety of fields. You don’t have to have a set destination or know what you’re going to do with the rest of your life… put your head down and enjoy whatever is in front of you… give it a red hot go and be willing to be brave and try new things. Keep your ears, eyes and heart open to opportunities and plan for a career doing things you enjoy. Be prepared to ponder your own unique and exciting course.

The intention is to record all sessions and make them available for all students to view after the virtual camp.
