‘Gifted’

Being gifted is not a constant

Or a crown worn on your head

It’s not a trophy congratulating you

For a statement once said

Being gifted is questioning

Why the world spins

Holding the motivation

To house a thousand wins

Being gifted is knowing

It’s okay to not know

Because you can find out

Questions are just how we grow

When you question the world

You’ll go so many places

Find out oh so much

And meet so many faces

Gifted is not a constant

Or a crown worn on your head

It’s a family you’ll find

It’s a feeling instead

To me, gifted means dreaming

Grasping for our sky

Exploring the world

With the bold question why?

The skill’s curiosity

And thinking things through
